REAPING / HARVESTING
Reaping is when one gathers or collects ripe fruits or crops
Psalms 126v5-6, KJV-R (Webster) Psalms 126:5 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
·Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy
·He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing (precious) seed for sowing shall doubtlessly come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Some things to note about reaping
1.There has to be a seed which was sown for one to be able to reap. John 12v24
2.It is only that type of seed which was sown that can be reaped. E.g. if you sow maize, you reap maize and not millet. In others words, there is sowing 1st and then reaping 2nd, or seed 1st then harvest, Galatians 5v6.
3.There is a season / time for harvest or reaping since there is time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3v1, Genesis 8v22.
-Sometimes people hurry or rush to harvest before it is time. As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual.
-Imagine a farmer after sowing some maize seed and soon after germination, he carries a basket expecting to gather some green mealies!
-We need to be patient and wait for harvest time, James 5v7.
4.It is only ripe or mature fruits that are harvested, those that are ready for harvest.
-If you reap or gather unripe fruits they decay or rot. They do not last long. They might not even have good taste. Sometimes some may even be harmful or not good for your health.
-When harvest time is ready you do not need to be told or to carry out an experiment, you can just tell.
-Need to wait for the fulfilling of your ministry / calling to be ready. When the time comes, you do not need to be told; you can see or tell on your own.
-Wait for that day when the weeding ring will be put on your finger at the instruction of the marriage officer. It will be ready and you will not need to be told, you will know!
-Do not rush to gather unripe fruits, you will run at a loss if you do.
5.You reap according to the measure you have sown. If you sow sparingly, you also reap sparingly, if you sow bountifully, you will also reap bountifully. 2Corinthians 9v6
6.Harvest is always more than seed. You move from seed to sheaves, Psalms 126.
7.There is joy in harvest. Isaiah 9v3, Psalms 126v5-6. It says, “… shall reap in joy … come again rejoicing”

ii)The other reason which makes most people not to enjoy their harvest is that they did not go out to reap. Reaping is something that you do, its an action, you are the one who does the reaping.
